Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni reaffirmed on Saturday that Italy would never waver in its commitment to support Ukraine, noting that the ongoing stalemate in the war indicated that the Western response to Russia's invasion was justified.
"I believe China and India have a role to play in resolving the conflict. The only unacceptable outcome is abandoning Ukraine," Meloni stated after meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy on the sidelines of a conference.
Speaking at the annual TEHA business forum in northern Italy, Meloni reiterated, "The choice to support Ukraine has primarily been a matter of national interest, and it's a choice that will not change."
