Drone Sightings Create Panic in Manipur Villages

Residents in peripheral areas of Bishnupur and Imphal East districts in Manipur turned off their lights on Friday night after sightings of multiple drones, according to official reports.
Earlier this week, drones were used to drop bombs on people in two locations in Imphal West district, spreading panic and fear in the region.
On Friday night, multiple drones were spotted in Narainsena, Nambol Kamong in Bishnupur district, and Pukhao, Dolaithabi, and Shantipur in Imphal East district, leading villagers to switch off their lights at home out of fear. Security forces have been put on high alert to monitor large group movements, with 'Ill rounds' fired into the sky to illuminate the area.
