A 32-year-old policewoman allegedly committed suicide by jumping off a multi-storey residential building at the Police Training College (PTC) in Madhya Pradesh's Indore on Friday, according to police reports.

The tragedy unfolded around 5.30 am within the PTC campus located in the Azad Nagar area, as confirmed by an official source.

Neha Sharma, a subedar stationed at the PTC, purportedly leaped from the terrace of the residential building, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Ashish Patel stated. The motive behind this act remains unclear, and a police team has been dispatched to investigate the incident.

PTC officials noted that Sharma had recently returned to duty following her maternity leave.
