Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday urged top military officials to closely study the conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza, as well as the current situation in Bangladesh, to predict potential future issues and stay prepared to handle unexpected developments.

Speaking at the first-ever joint commanders conference, Singh highlighted the importance of being prepared for war to maintain peace. He called for a combined, swift, and proportionate response to any provocations, particularly in light of the ongoing border dispute with China in eastern Ladakh.

Singh also emphasized deeper analysis of India's border situation with China and developments in neighboring countries, underlining the need for a joint military vision to handle future security challenges. He encouraged the integration of advanced military hardware and technology, particularly in space and electronic warfare domains, and stressed the importance of cyber and space-based capabilities.
