Government ministers from both nations, including Japanese Foreign Minister Yoko Kamikawa and Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong, convened in Queenscliff, Australia, to discuss enhancing security cooperation amidst growing concerns over China's territorial ambitions.
Upcoming collaborations include Australia's participation in Orient Shield, the largest field training exercise between the US and Japan, and the involvement of the Japanese Amphibious Rapid Deployment Brigade in training rotations with US Marines in Darwin.
