A special MP-MLA court here has issued a non-bailable warrant against Uttar Pradesh minister Kapil Dev Aggarwal for failing to appear in court in connection with a case involving the violation of the model code of conduct.

The order was issued on Wednesday by Special Judge Devendra Singh Fauzdar, who mandated Aggarwal's appearance in court on September 13.

According to Aggarwal's lawyer Vinod Kumar Gupta, the minister will appear in court on the specified date to request the recall of the warrant.

Aggarwal's case involves allegations that he held election meetings in the Ramlila Teela locality on January 11, 2022, without appropriate permissions, along with several other individuals.
