Notorious Criminal Bachcha Khan Arrested in Extortion Case
Bachcha Khan, along with seven others, has been arrested by the Hubballi-Dharwad Police for attempting extortion. Khan, a convict on parole, was taken into custody following threats to a 70-year-old man over a financial dispute. The police intervened based on the complaint and evidence gathered.

Notorious criminal Bachcha Khan and seven others have been arrested for their involvement in an extortion attempt, Hubballi-Dharwad Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar announced on Wednesday.
According to Kumar, Khan, a convict in a murder case out on 45 days' parole, was apprehended after a 70-year-old man in Mantur village reported receiving threatening calls from two different phone numbers between August 18 and 20. The man had a land-related financial dispute, and the caller demanded Rs one crore, threatening the victim's family.
Kumar stated that the case, investigated by the CCB, led to the arrest of seven people in the Hubballi-Dharwad region. Subsequently, Khan was arrested in Bengaluru, bringing the total number of arrests to eight. The suspects are currently being interrogated.
