The allegations surfaced after a phone call to Child Helpline prompted an investigation by the District Child Protection Officer, who discovered the abuse during interactions with the students.

Subsequently, a complaint was filed with the Fort All Women Police Station, resulting in the arrest of the accused, 31-year-old government healthcare facility worker Samson, under the POCSO Act. He is now in judicial custody, with no prior criminal record. His mother's role as the headmistress allowed him access to commit the crime within the privately administered, government-aided school.
