Bibhav Kumar, an aide to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, has been granted bail by a local court following a Supreme Court order. He was accused of assaulting AAP MP Swati Maliwal and had been in custody for over 100 days.

The court stipulated several bail conditions, including that Kumar must not threaten witnesses or tamper with evidence, and that he must attend all court proceedings.

Released on a bail bond and surety bond of Rs 1 lakh each, Kumar exited Tihar Jail at 2 pm. The Supreme Court noted that the trial would be lengthy, given the prosecution plans to call over 51 witnesses.
