The Uttar Pradesh government has extended the deadline for its employees to submit property details by one month, providing some much-needed relief for those who have yet to comply with the mandate.

The announcement, made by Shishir, Director of the Department of Information and Public Relations, emphasizes that all state officers and employees must register their immovable and movable assets on the Manav Sampada portal for the 2023-2024 fiscal year. Initially, the last date was set for August 31, but only 74% of employees have submitted their details so far.

Manav Sampada, an integrated human resource management system, is designed to streamline and digitize various HR processes like recruitment, postings, promotions, and transfers. Non-compliance with this directive will result in employees being marked as absent and not receiving their monthly salary. The state employs over 1.78 million government workers.
