Former Driver Arrested in Kidnapping of Engineer’s Daughter
A former driver of a junior engineer in Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam, along with two accomplices, was arrested for kidnapping the engineer’s six-year-old daughter. The kidnappers demanded a ransom of Rs 3 crore. Police quickly intervened, rescuing the girl within hours and arresting the suspects.

In a shocking incident, a former driver of a junior engineer in Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam, Akash, along with two other men, was arrested for kidnapping the engineer’s six-year-old daughter, police announced on Tuesday.
According to Additional Superintendent of Police Ayush Vikram Singh, the girl was kidnapped on Monday afternoon, with the kidnappers demanding a ransom of Rs 3 crore for her release. Acting swiftly, police launched a massive operation, registering an FIR and blocking all city entries and exits, forcing the kidnappers to release the girl within hours.
A final confrontation occurred on Monday night, resulting in the arrest of Akash and one accomplice, Raju, following an exchange of fire. A third man, Ajay, was apprehended later. Police recovered two country-made pistols and the car used in the abduction. During interrogation, Akash revealed he had orchestrated the kidnapping after being dismissed from his job.
