Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued urgent directives to intensify patrolling and increase manpower in districts plagued by human-wildlife conflicts, following a spate of fatal animal attacks. The rising incidents have claimed several lives and injured many, compelling the government to act swiftly.
During a high-level meeting on Monday evening, Adityanath emphasized the need for immediate and comprehensive security measures in wildlife-sensitive zones. Officials were directed to deploy trained teams, essential equipment, and develop specific action plans for relief and rescue operations.
The Chief Minister also called for extensive public awareness campaigns to educate residents on safety measures. Collaboration among administration, police, forest department, and local bodies was stressed, and senior officers were advised to be stationed in affected districts to ensure effective management and accurate information dissemination.
