Man Arrested for Molesting Minor and Threatening Acid Attack in Mumbai
A 38-year-old man, Dashrath Ashok Ramane, has been arrested for allegedly molesting a 14-year-old girl and threatening her with an acid attack in Mumbai's Bhoiwada locality. Following repeated harassment, the girl reported the incidents to her parents, who then lodged a complaint. Ramane faces charges under the BNS and POCSO Act.

A 38-year-old man has been apprehended for allegedly molesting a minor girl and making acid attack threats in Mumbai's Bhoiwada area, according to police on Monday.
Dashrath Ashok Ramane, the accused, reportedly stalked the 14-year-old girl repeatedly between August 6 and August 28, often trying to get close and harassing her. On August 28, Ramane allegedly followed the girl, grabbed her hand, and threatened her with acid when she resisted.
The girl eventually confided in her parents, who then confronted Ramane and took him to Bhoiwada Police Station to file a complaint. An FIR was registered under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Ramane has since been arrested.
