The tragic event occurred in Arai Dih village in Fatuha on Saturday night, resulting in the death of Upendra Manjhi. His nephew, Rajeev, succumbed to a heart attack upon learning about the incident.

'Police were alerted about Upendra Manjhi's shooting by unidentified cattle thieves. Officers arrived promptly, transporting Manjhi, who suffered a leg injury, to the nearest government hospital where he later died,' stated SDPO (Fatuha-2) Pankaj Kumar. 'Rajeev, Manjhi's nephew, died of cardiac arrest shortly after hearing the news. Both bodies are undergoing post-mortem examinations. A case has been registered and efforts to apprehend the suspects are underway.'
