With over 16 lakh new voters registering, Maharashtra now boasts around 9.5 crore eligible voters for the upcoming state assembly elections, according to the Election Commission of India (ECI).

The ECI released the final electoral rolls on August 30, detailing the state's 9,53,74,302 voters, which include 4,93,33,996 men, 4,60,34,362 women, and 5,944 transgender individuals.

The data from ECI shows a significant influx of 16,98,368 new voters. The 18 to 19 age group comprises 18.67 lakh voters, while the 20 to 29 age group accounts for 1.81 crore. Additionally, 25.4 lakh voters are aged 80 and above, though this group saw a reduction of 45,208 voters. The state also has 21,558 divyang voters. Notably, districts like Nandurbar, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Bhandara, and Gondia report more women voters than men.
