BJP's Minority Morcha Advocates for Waqf Board Reforms Amidst Criticism

Amidst significant opposition from major Muslim organizations, the BJP's Minority Morcha is launching an initiative to gather support for the Waqf (Amendment) Bill. The Morcha aims to address community concerns about Waqf board reforms, presenting the feedback to the parliamentary committee for further consideration.
A team of seven BJP members, including state Waqf Board chairpersons, will collect minority community views nationwide. "We intend to relay every opinion to the committee, addressing concerns while advocating for necessary reforms," asserted a BJP leader.
The report generated by the Minority Morcha will be shared with BJP leadership and the parliamentary panel headed by Jagdambika Pal. The leadership instructed the Morcha to engage with the Muslim community to ensure transparent functioning of Waqf boards, enhancing both accountability and transparency.
