The West Bengal government announced a significant bureaucratic reshuffle late Friday night, reassigning key responsibilities to three senior IAS officers.

Additional Chief Secretary Prabhat Kumar Mishra, a 1993 batch officer, will now head the Finance Department with an added charge of the Department of Planning and Statistics. Mishra previously managed the Irrigation and Waterways Department, Water Resources Investigation and Development Department, and served as the Project Director of AIDM.

Manoj Pant, from the 1991 batch, has been designated as the Additional Chief Secretary for Irrigation and Waterways. Prior to this, Pant was the Additional Chief Secretary for Finance and held additional responsibilities in the Department of Planning and Statistics and the Cabinet Secretariat in New Delhi.

Roshni Sen, a 1993 batch officer, is now the Additional Chief Secretary of the Water Resources Investigation and Development Department and Project Director ADMI, taking over duties from Mishra. Sen will continue her roles in Fisheries, Aquaculture, Aquatic Resources, Fishing Harbour, and as the Chairman and Managing Director of West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation.
