In a decisive step towards improving transparency and accountability, Union Minister of Labour & Employment and Youth Affairs & Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, has instructed the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) to establish a robust and transparent digital system for managing Employee Provident Fund (EPF) deductions. This directive was issued during a review meeting with EPFO officials in New Delhi today.
Dr. Mandaviya emphasized the need for an efficient, time-bound digital mechanism that will regularly update employees about their provident fund deductions. He highlighted that this system is essential for ensuring that employees are kept informed about their contributions and to foster greater transparency in the process.
Additionally, the Minister addressed the importance of effectively managing grievances related to EPF. He instructed the EPFO to investigate the root causes of these grievances and to implement sustainable solutions in a timely manner. This approach aims to resolve issues more efficiently and to build greater trust between employers and employees.
Dr. Mandaviya’s directives are designed to enhance the overall efficiency of the provident fund system in India and to ensure that the system operates with increased transparency and reliability.
