Alok Raj Takes Additional Charge as Bihar DGP
Senior IPS officer Alok Raj has been appointed to hold additional charge as the Director General Police (DGP) of Bihar. Raj, a 1989-batch IPS officer, is currently serving as Director General (Vigilance) for the state. This move follows the appointment of Bihar DGP R S Bhatti as the new DG of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).

Senior IPS officer Alok Raj was appointed to additional charge of Director General Police (DGP) of Bihar, a government notification revealed on Friday.
Raj, who hails from the 1989 IPS batch, is currently assigned as the Director General (Vigilance) in the state government.
A notification from the state's Home department confirmed that Raj will assume the role of DGP. The change in leadership follows the Centre's Wednesday announcement of Bihar DGP R S Bhatti's new position as DG of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).
