In response to a weekend of brutal terror attacks, security forces in Balochistan have conducted intelligence-based operations, eliminating five terrorists and injuring three others.

The banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), a separatist group, claimed responsibility for the attacks that resulted in the deaths of 50 people, including 14 security personnel. The operations took place in Kech, Panjgur, and Zhob districts.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari have vowed to completely eliminate terrorism in the mineral-rich province. The Centre for Research and Security Studies reported 1,524 violence-related fatalities in 2023, urging the Taliban government to halt support for militant groups.
