Mykola Oleshchuk announced on Telegram that the United States, the manufacturer of the F-16, was assisting in the investigation efforts.
On Thursday, the Ukrainian military confirmed that the F-16 crashed during a Russian air strike and that the pilot lost his life while approaching a target.
