CBI Summons Former RG Kar Principal in Rape-Murder and Financial Misconduct Cases
The CBI has summoned Sandip Ghosh, former principal of RG Kar Medical College, for the 14th consecutive day over the investigation into the alleged rape and murder of a trainee doctor on August 9. Ghosh is also under scrutiny for financial misconduct during his tenure. Multiple CBI teams are probing various aspects of the cases.

The CBI has summoned Sandip Ghosh, ex-principal of RG Kar Medical College, for the 14th day in a row as part of its investigations into the alleged rape and murder of a postgraduate trainee doctor on August 9.
Sources revealed Ghosh has been questioned for over 140 hours. In addition to the heinous crime, he is also being scrutinized for financial irregularities during his tenure at the hospital; an FIR has already been filed against him and others involved.
Last Sunday, CBI officials raided Ghosh's residence for further questioning. On Thursday, multiple CBI teams conducted visits to the state-run RG Kar hospital to investigate the financial misconduct and gathered information on the hospital's mortuary facilities, bio-medical waste disposal, and other allegations.
