Taiwan's Resilience Amidst Rising Chinese Threats
Taiwan's defence ministry has highlighted that China lacks the full capability to invade Taiwan due to insufficient equipment. However, China is developing advanced weaponry and exploring strategies to threaten Taiwan, such as inspecting foreign ships. Both nations remain firm in their opposing stances, with Taiwan enhancing its defenses.
China, despite lacking the necessary equipment for a comprehensive invasion, is progressively unveiling advanced weaponry and leveraging new tactics to heighten threats against Taiwan, according to Taiwan's defence ministry.
Over the past five years, China has escalated both military and political pressure on Taiwan. A recent report indicated that China is improving joint command operations but is still constrained by the geographical challenges of the Taiwan Strait and inadequate landing logistics.
The ministry's annual threat assessment also reported China's development of advanced systems like the H-20 bomber and hypersonic missiles. Moreover, China's coast guard drills around Taiwan aim to perfect blockades and communication cut-offs, depicting a tense regional standoff.
