In a significant breakthrough, Haryana police in Nuh have apprehended six individuals who were on the run following violent clashes that erupted in the district last year.

As per police reports, the detainees had been evading capture for nearly a year, with an FIR registered against them on August 7, 2023, for inciting a crowd through a WhatsApp group. The arrested individuals, identified as Noman, Saddam, Sabir Ali, Mohammad Mustafa, Arbaj, and Mohammad Sakir, hail from Ferozepur Namak village.

The violence, which took place on July 31, led to the deaths of six people, including two home guards and a cleric. The mob had also set fire to numerous vehicles and the local Cyber police station. With these six new arrests, police have now detained over 300 individuals related to the incident. All six suspects have been remanded to judicial custody.
