In a bid to support its employees approaching retirement, the Centre has organised a comprehensive pre-retirement counselling (PRC) workshop, an official statement revealed. The workshop, aimed at educating employees on retirement benefits, family pension, and income tax regulations, drew over 750 participants who are set to retire by March 31, 2025.

The Department of Pension and Pensioners' Welfare (DoPPW) hosted the event as part of its good governance initiative to ensure a smooth transition for Central government retirees. The workshop featured multiple sessions on critical topics such as the BHAVISHYA portal, integrated pensioners portal, CGHS process, and the submission of digital life certificates. Additionally, a 'Banks' Exhibition' took place, offering pension-related banking services and investment advice.

Furthermore, the DoPPW celebrated the contributions of retiring employees through the 7th Anubhav awards ceremony, where five individuals and several jury-selected personnel received recognition. Secretary (Pension) V Srinivas commended the awardees and conducted the 11th nationwide pension adalat, addressing and resolving 82 per cent of 298 pension-related cases presented.
