Supreme Court Revokes Bail in Gruesome Murder Case

The Supreme Court has annulled the bail granted by the Patna High Court to Pritesh Kumar, accused of murdering Chandan Kumar Singh with his lover's help. The Supreme Court has overturned the bail granted to Pritesh Kumar by the Patna High Court. Kumar, accused of killing Chandan Kumar Singh with the help of his lover, has to surrender within two weeks, per the court order.

Justices Surya Kant and Ujjal Bhuyan determined that the high court acted prematurely, failing to await critical depositions from key witnesses. The trial court has been directed to record these statements within four months.

The murder case originated from a complaint filed by Vibhuti Kumar Singh alleging that Kumar, involved in an extramarital affair with the victim's wife, conspired and executed the brutal murder. The high court had previously granted bail citing the accused's time in custody.
