A drone attack launched by Ukraine ignited a fire at an oil depot in the Kamensky district of Russia's southern Rostov region, said Governor Vasily Golubev on Wednesday. The governor confirmed media reports that several tanks were ablaze.

"There are no casualties," Golubev assured on the Telegram messaging app. "Firefighters are extinguishing the fire." Despite successfully destroying four drones overnight, the Russian defense ministry did not comment on the oil depot attack.

This assault follows a similar incident in early August and another ongoing fire at an oil depot in Rostov's Proletarsk district. Videos on Russian social media show large tanks ablaze, and the Baza Telegram channel attributed the fire to two drones falling in the area. Meanwhile, in the bordering Voronezh region, Governor Alexander Gusev reported that debris from a Ukraine-launched drone sparked another fire, which was quickly contained.

Russian officials often refrain from revealing the full extent of damage caused by Ukrainian attacks. Both Ukraine and Russia deny targeting civilians, with Kyiv claiming its airstrikes focus on essential infrastructure pivotal to Moscow's war efforts.
