In a significant escalation, Ukrainian drones have reportedly targeted and ignited oil tanks in Russia's Rostov region, based on information from Russian Telegram channels. The Russian defense ministry announced the destruction of four drones but did not address the depot attack.
The Baza Telegram channel, linked closely with Russia's security services, noted three tanks ablaze in Rostov's Kamensky district following a drone attack. Verified videos showed large tanks burning during the night, highlighting the intensity of the incident.
Governor Vasily Golubev of Rostov confirmed the destruction of several drones, yet there was no response from Ukraine. Meanwhile, in the Voronezh region, another drone-related fire was reported near explosive materials. Despite these issues, Russian officials often minimize disclosures regarding damages from Ukrainian strikes, underscoring the ongoing tension and secrecy in this protracted conflict.
