Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar announced that the ruling Congress will organize a foot march to Raj Bhavan on August 31, seeking prosecution sanctions from the Governor. The protest will involve all state Congress legislators, including Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

Shivakumar singled out JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy, questioning his failure to file a forgery complaint related to a mining lease granted in 2007.

The march aims to address all pending prosecution requests, not just those against Kumaraswamy but also cases involving former BJP Ministers and possibly Congress ministers.
