High-Stakes Ceasefire Talks Continue in Cairo

Negotiations are currently underway in Cairo to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza, and they will continue at the working group level for the next few days, according to White House national security spokesperson John Kirby.
A significant focus of these working groups is the exchange of hostages held by Hamas and Palestinian prisoners, Kirby noted.
He added that the recent exchange of fire between Israel and Hezbollah has not impacted the ongoing talks in Cairo.
