Police Arrest Trio in Amritsar NRI Shooting Case
Punjab Police apprehended two shooters and an accomplice involved in shooting an NRI in Amritsar. The suspects were nabbed in Hoshiarpur following a joint police operation. The crime appears to be a fallout of a family grudge related to the victim's first wife's suicide.

Punjab Police have apprehended two shooters and an accomplice in connection with the shooting of an NRI in Amritsar. The suspects were arrested in Hoshiarpur after a coordinated police operation, according to officials.
Officials detailed that Sukhwinder alias Sukha and Gurkirat Singh alias Guri were hired to kill the NRI. The shooters attacked Sukhchain Singh, who had recently returned from the US, inside his home in Amritsar on Saturday.
The police disclosed that family members of Sukhchain's first wife, who committed suicide in December 2022, were allegedly behind the attack. The assailants were reportedly promised Rs 15 lakh for the crime, which was found to be stemmed from a long-standing family grudge.
