The Nagaland Assembly will begin its monsoon session on Tuesday, during which the three-decade-old liquor prohibition law will be reviewed.
The three-day session, with a break on Wednesday, will also discuss the repeal of the Communitisation Programme in the power sector due to significant financial losses.
Enacted in 1989, the Nagaland Liquor Total Prohibition Act is now up for reconsideration. The Assembly will also amend service rules for crucial government departments, including public health engineering, in the same session.
