A prime piece of government land worth Rs 150 crore was reclaimed from encroachers in Indore city, officials announced on Saturday.
The 0.86-hectare plot had been illegitimately sold by Ashok Bhai Gujarati to 13 different individuals, and construction, including a boundary wall and road, was underway, disclosed Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Ghanshyam Dhangar.
Despite these developments, the land remained recorded under the district collector's name in government documents. A team comprising municipal and district administration officials efficiently removed the encroachment and regained control over the property, Dhangar reported in a release.
