Praveen Patil, who was on the run for two weeks after allegedly outraging the modesty of two minor girls in Thane district, has been arrested, police reported on Friday.

The accused reportedly made obscene gestures at the girls as they played near their house in Sagaon near Dombivli, earlier this month. The incident led to an alarm being raised by the girls, causing locals to gather and Patil to flee the scene.

A special team from Manpada police station in Dombivli apprehended Patil on Thursday night at a village near Satana in Nashik district. A court has remanded him in police custody, and further investigations are ongoing.
