Israel has refuted claims of agreeing to withdraw its troops from the Philadelphi corridor along the Egypt-Gaza border, according to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office.
The statement follows an Israeli television report which suggested otherwise. Netanyahu's office clarified that the decision hinges on achieving all war objectives set by the Security Cabinet.
The primary goal, the statement added, is to ensure Gaza never again poses a security threat to Israel, necessitating the fortification of the southern border.
