Supreme Court Collegium Recommends Advocates for Delhi High Court Judgeship

The Supreme Court collegium, chaired by Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud, on Wednesday put forth the names of three lawyers to the Centre for their appointment as judges of the Delhi High Court.
The resolution specified the recommendation of S/Shri Ajay Digpaul, Harish Vaidyanathan Shankar, and Ms. Shwetasree Majumder, for judgeship. Their seniority will be fixed according to existing practices, the resolution noted.
The three-member collegium also includes Justices Sanjiv Khanna and BR Gavai, who were involved in the recommendation process after extensive consultation and evaluation of the candidates' merit and suitability.
