A Delhi Police constable was injured while attempting to intercept three minors on a stolen scooter in southeast Delhi, officials reported on Sunday.
Head constable Ashok and constable Vishal, on night duty, observed the boys riding helmetless near CV Raman Marg on the night of August 17-18. When signaled to stop, the boys accelerated, prompting Vishal to block their path with his motorcycle. The minors knowingly rammed into Vishal's bike, causing him to fall and sustain injuries, according to a senior police officer.
Interrogation revealed the boys, aged 14 to 15, had stolen the scooter from Sunlight Colony and planned further thefts in Taimoor Nagar. The scooter was recovered, and the boys apprehended.
