Y B Khurania Appointed as New DGP of Odisha
Senior IPS officer Y B Khurania has been appointed as the new Director General of Police (DGP) of Odisha. A 1990-batch officer, Khurania replaces A K Sarangi. Khurania has returned to Odisha after a central deputation and has previously held significant posts in various districts and as the Police Commissioner.

Senior IPS officer Y B Khurania has been appointed as the Director General of Police (DGP) of Odisha, according to an official notification released on Friday.
A 1990-batch officer, Khurania will be replacing A K Sarangi. He recently returned to Odisha from a central deputation.
Khurania has earlier held several crucial positions in the state, including serving as the Superintendent of Police (SP) for Nayagarh, Jajpur, Rourkela, Mayurbhanj, and Ganjam districts. He also served as the commissioner of police for the Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Commissionerate of Police.
