Drug Peddler Arrested in Itanagar with Heroin Stash
A drug peddler was arrested in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh, after police seized suspected heroin worth Rs 51,000 from him. Acting on a tip-off, the police apprehended the individual and recovered narcotics from his residence. The accused admitted procuring the drugs from Assam.

A drug peddler was arrested from Arunachal Pradesh's capital Itanagar after suspected heroin worth Rs 51,000 was seized from his possession, police disclosed on Friday.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team apprehended the person from the Gandhi Market area in the city on Thursday, recovering the narcotic substance from his residence, stated Capital Superintendent of Police (SP) Rohit Rajbir Singh.
The narcotics were stored in 51 plastic packets. During interrogation, the accused admitted to purchasing the suspected heroin from Assam with plans to sell it in Itanagar. A case under the relevant section of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, has been registered against the suspect, the SP added.
