Delhi Police Personnel Honored with President's Police Medal on Independence Day
Eighteen Delhi Police personnel have been recognized with the President's Police Medal on Independence Day. Joint Commissioner Atmaram Vasudeo Deshpande and Assistant Commissioner Shashi Bala received the award for distinguished service, while sixteen others were honored for meritorious service, including numerous notable accomplishments in crime solving and community service.

Eighteen Delhi Police personnel will receive the President's Police Medal on Independence Day, officials announced Wednesday.
Two officers, Joint Commissioner Atmaram Vasudeo Deshpande and retired Assistant Commissioner Shashi Bala, will be honored for distinguished service. The remaining sixteen, including Joint Commissioner Suman Goyal and Deputy Commissioner Rajneesh Garg, will be recognized for meritorious service.
Deshpande, inducted into the Indian Police Service (IPS) in 2011, has received multiple accolades throughout his career, including the Goa Chief Minister's Gold Medal and the President's Police Medal for meritorious service. Shashi Bala, a long-serving officer known for her contributions to investigative work and community training, retired in July.
