A court has convicted a juvenile for committing aggravated penetrative sexual assault on a 10-year-old girl in 2017, based on the victim's compelling and trustworthy testimony.

Additional Sessions Judge Susheel Bala Dagar heard the case, where the juvenile, referred to as a Child in Conflict with Law (CCL), was accused of assaulting the girl after kidnapping and confining her.

Prosecutor Yogita Kaushik Dahiya informed the court that the CCL also threatened the victim. The court ruled that the victim's consistent and credible testimony, along with medico-legal evidence, proved the charges against the juvenile. The juvenile was convicted under the POCSO Act, along with other penal offences of criminal intimidation, kidnapping, and wrongful confinement. Sentencing will be conducted at a later date.
