Bangladesh's interim government has launched a hotline to report attacks on Hindu temples, churches, and other religious institutions after a surge in violence following the ouster of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The Ministry of Religious Affairs urges citizens to provide information on such attacks. Minority communities have faced numerous incidents of violence, prompting government intervention and reassurances from officials.

Bangladesh's interim government has established a hotline for citizens to report attacks on Hindu temples, churches, and other religious institutions. This move comes in response to increased violence following the ouster of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has issued a request for information on such attacks, as reported by the Bengali daily Prothom Alo. Citizens can call or text the mobile number 01766-843809 to report incidents.
Religious Affairs Adviser AFM Khalid Hossain condemned the recent attacks and assured ongoing support for minority communities. Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus also met with the Hindu community, emphasizing equality and patience during this crisis. Reports indicate over 200 incidents of violence in 52 districts since the government change.
