Iran has showcased its latest long-range Mohajer-10 drones at a defense exhibition in Russia, reported Iran's official news agency on Monday. The unveiling comes amid U.S. assertions that Iran has been providing drones, including the Mohajer-6, to Russia, which Moscow has allegedly deployed in its Ukraine invasion. Tehran has denied these accusations.
The upgraded Mohajer-10 system was displayed at the Army 2024 International Military-Technical Forum, an event that runs from Monday to Wednesday in Patriot Park near Russia's capital. This exhibition occurs at a tense time when the Middle East is anticipating Iran's possible retaliation against Israel after the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran on July 31.
Released last August, the Mohajer-10 drone features enhanced flight range, duration, and payload capacity compared to its predecessor. A promotional video had showcased the drone with other military hardware, accompanied by messages in both Hebrew and Persian advising viewers to 'prepare your shelters.' The drone reportedly has an operational range of 2,000 km and can fly for up to 24 hours, carrying a payload of up to 300 kg, double that of the Mohajer-6.
