Delhi to Enhance Judicial Infrastructure with New 55-Courtroom Complex

The Delhi government announced on Saturday its plans to build a new district court complex at Rouse Avenue, featuring 55 courtrooms, as part of efforts to enhance judicial infrastructure in the capital.
Finance Minister Atishi approved the Rs 427 crore project during an Expenditure Finance Committee meeting. She emphasized that accessible and speedy justice is a fundamental right for all Indians, and this new infrastructure will help reduce case backlogs.
The new district court will consist of two blocks connected by a skywalk and include modern facilities like a library, basement parking, and conference rooms. Atishi urged relevant departments to expedite the project's completion.
