The Centre addressed around 14.41 lakh public grievances between January and July this year, of which 13.75 lakh were resolved, according to a Lok Sabha statement on Wednesday.

Union Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh said in a written reply that 66,060 public grievances were still pending.

In 2024 (till July 31), the government received 14,41,416 public grievances, which includes 71,177 carried over from the previous year. Out of these, 13,75,356 grievances were disposed of, Singh stated.

Citizens can file public grievances on the CPGRAMS portal (www.pgportal.gov.in) for each of the ministries/departments of the Government of India.

As of July 31, 2024, CPGRAMS has 26,22,426 registered users, and 1,01,209 grievance redressal officers are mapped on the portal to ensure timely grievance resolution, the minister explained.

The majority of public grievances received on CPGRAMS are resolved within a 30-day timeframe. The quality of grievance resolution is monitored through a feedback call center operational in 10 regional Indian languages, in addition to English and Hindi, Singh added.

Unsatisfied citizens have the option to file an appeal on CPGRAMS with a higher-level officer. The CPGRAMS portal is also accessible via Common Services Centres and the UMANG platform for filing public grievances.
