In a significant development, PTI spokesperson Raoof Hasan was released from Adiala Jail on Tuesday, following a bail grant by an anti-terrorism court. The court mandated a surety bond of Rs 200,000 for his release.

Hasan had been arrested in Islamabad on July 22 under charges from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) related to the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016 (Peca). He was later implicated in a case involving alleged possession of explosives.

His release was widely circulated on social media, capturing footage of Hasan leaving the jail premises and entering a vehicle. The timely release follows a public statement by the army urging punishment for those involved in last year's attacks on military facilities.
