In the Kursk region's town of Sudzha, several residential buildings sustained damage from the attacks. Alexei Smirnov, the interim governor, shared these details on the Telegram messaging app.

In a separate post, Smirnov noted that these night attacks came on the heels of multiple drone strikes and shelling incidents during the day on Monday. Reuters could not independently verify these reports. Both Russia and Kyiv seldom reveal the full extent of the damage unless civilians are affected or infrastructure is hit. Ukraine claims its attacks target military, energy, and transport infrastructure in Russia as a counter-response to Russia's continual strikes on Ukrainian territory.
