Punjab Police Busts Cross-Border Smuggling Module
The Punjab Police have captured a cross-border smuggling module with the arrest of Rajwant Singh, linked to Pakistan-based smugglers. The operation recovered two pistols and revealed the smugglers used drones to transport weapons and drugs into India.

The Punjab Police announced on Monday the successful dismantling of a cross-border smuggling module with the apprehension of one individual.
Police Director General Gaurav Yadav identified the suspect as Rajwant Singh, also known as Raju, who was reportedly in contact with drug and weapon smugglers based in Pakistan.
Authorities recovered two pistols from Singh's possession. On social media platform X, the DGP revealed that the State Special Operation Cell (SSOC) from Amritsar was behind the operation which led to Raju's capture and the breaking up of the smuggling network.
Yadav stated that the Pakistani smugglers were dispatching large consignments of weapons and drugs into Indian territory via drones and other methods. Further investigations are ongoing to uncover Rajwant Singh's previous smuggling endeavors, and a case has been registered in Amritsar.
