Saveetha School of Law Celebrates Alums Appointed as Civil Judges
Saveetha School of Law, SIMATS, Chennai recently celebrated the appointment of six alumni as civil judges. The event featured Madras High Court's Hon'ble Justice V. Bhavani Subbaroyan. Saveetha School of Law, SIMATS, Chennai celebrated the achievement of six distinguished alumni who were recently appointed as civil judges. The ceremony was graced by the esteemed Hon'ble Tmt. Justice V. Bhavani Subbaroyan, a Judge of the Madras High Court, alongside a host of legal professionals, faculty, students, and the judges' families.
The event underscores the institution's commitment to academic excellence. Ranked 11th by NIRF for three consecutive years, Saveetha boasts Asia's largest law library. The alumni honored—Ms. B. Sandhiya Devi, Mr. N. Thishonanth, Mr. Asif Mohamed, Mr. R. Suresh Kumar, Mr. Gokulmithun Kumar, and Ms. S. Sozhiya—reflect the high caliber of legal education provided by the institution.
This celebration coincided with the institution's crystal jubilee year. Since 2019, 19 alumni have qualified as civil judges, serving in various courts across Tamil Nadu. The ceremony was attended by Dr. NM Veeraiyan, Founder and Chancellor, and Dr. Deepak Nallaswamy Veeraiyan, Pro Chancellor, along with faculty and students, who congratulated the newly appointed judges and wished them continued success.
