The Bihar Police have lodged a case following an email threat to bomb the Chief Minister's Office, according to an announcement made by a senior officer on Saturday.
The FIR, based on a statement by Sachivalaya Police Station SHO Sanjeev Kumar, reveals that the email was sent on July 16. The email's sender claimed affiliation with Al-Qaeda and threatened to destroy the CMO premises.
Patna Senior Superintendent of Police Rajiv Mishra informed PTI that the FIR was filed on August 2, 2024, post-inquiry. The case is against unidentified individuals under pertinent sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita and IT Act, as per the State Crime Records Bureau.
